Methoxsalen is used in combination with ultraviolet (UVA) light therapy to help control severe psoriasis. This medication is a photosensitizer that is also used to treat other skin condition such as vitiligo. It belongs to the group of medicines called psoralens. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
