Dasatinib

Dasatinib is a medication primarily used to manage certain types of cancers, especially those affecting the blood and bone marrow. Specifically, it is used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) when these are Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+). Dasatinib works by targeting and inhibiting a protein known as BCR-ABL, which contributes to the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells. By blocking this protein, Dasatinib helps to prevent the spread of cancer cells, offering a way to manage and control the disease effectively.
