Bethanechol

Bethanechol is used to treat urinary retention resulting from surgery, drugs, post-delivery of a baby, or weakness in certain bladder muscles. Bethanechol is also used to treat nerve problems in the urinary bladder. Bethanechol works by stimulating the bladder muscle to contract and this improves urine flow, thereby relieving difficulties in urinating or emptying the bladder completely.
