Isosorbide Dinitrate is used to treat or prevent chest pain (angina). It belongs to a group of drugs called nitrates. By relaxing blood vessels, Isosorbide Dinitrate allows more blood to flow easily to the heart and thus reduces the workload on the heart. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
