Naratriptan

Naratriptan is used to treat acute migraine attacks with or without aura (warning signs such as visual disturbance or strange sensation that may occur before the onset of a migraine). Naratriptan belongs to the group of medicines called triptans. The widening of blood vessels in the brain may cause migraine. Naratriptan works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain and this helps relieve the symptoms of migraine headache including throbbing pain, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
